High quality plantain leaf for wholesale. Great plantain leaves contain polysaccharides, including mucilage (up to 11%), the iridoid glycoside aucubin, bitter substances, carotenoids, ascorbic acid, and choline. As medicinal raw materials, large plantain leaf (lat. Folium Plantaginis majoris) and fresh plantain grass (Herba Plantaginis majoris recens) are used. Preparations made from plantain leaves have a multifaceted healing effect. In scientific medicine, the leaves are used as a wound-healing, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, expectorant, hypnotic, analgesic, bactericidal and antiallergic agent.
